Last One Home ‘Give You The World’

Pop Rock trio Last One Home have released their new single ‘Give You The World’. The band consists of singer-songwriter Tom Westlake, bassist Harry Lowndes and drummer Phil Horler. ‘Give You The World’ was written by frontman Tom Westlake. Last One Home released their self-titled EP, from which the single ‘Bring Down The Storm’ won the band the ‘Music Expo’ prize at the ‘Glastonbury FM Songwriting Competition 2018. Their most recent single ‘Land of Immortality’ made it to the semi-finals of the UK Songwriting contest. They have supported internationally famous bands such as ‘Crazy Town’, ‘Courage My Love’ and ‘Halflives’ at shows on their UK tours.

Last One Home blast out their melodic pop rock with oodles of energy against a rugged backdrop with ‘Give You The World’. Blistering guitars weave between punchy drums and elastic bass grooves creating a satisfying layered foundation. The smooth melody glides over the blustery wall of sound with effortless grandeur as Westlake slips seamless up to his falsetto range. Its catchy vibrant with just enough grit and edginess to have you jumping and moshing along. The guitars venture between a crashing vigorous assault and sweet jangles fluently, filling the track with rich textures and enough gusto to ignite a live audience. It’s a cracking pop rock number.

Color Palette ‘Dark Days’

Washington Electro Rock/Synth Pop band Color Palette have released their new single ‘Dark Days’. Expanding into the darker facet of their musical prism Color Palette dive deep into electronic rock to create a gripping cinematic number. Flickering electronics flutter and rush about a steady beat while the smooth vocals hold all the instrumental bluster together with its chilled effortless grasp. The bitter guitars sting and soar over the gritty electronic riff creating that ethereal vibe this band do superbly however the winding keys and sinister atmosphere pull the track into its darker shades maintaining an ominous tone. Filled with dramatic bursts the track drives through keeping climactic paced momentum throughout. Each element is perfectly paced from blistering guitar moments to flashes of dazzling electronics and meaty drums creating intense highs in the track with Jay Nemeyes velvety vocals contrasting this whirlwind with his sweet coos and gentle laid back tone. Doused in dreamy bleak vibes it’s a hair raising gem.  Exuding a gripping sense of adrenaline this is a captivating track from Color Palette.

No Alarms ‘Find Me’ Video Premiere

No Alarms have released the video for their new single ‘Find Me’. No Alarms was born in Texas as the solo passion project of multi-instrumentalist Andrew Boles, and has since bloomed into a Detroit-based, fully-fledged, five-piece. No Alarms is blending the lines between modern indie pop and new wave revival, and building an engrossing live show from the ground up. Their debut single “Right is What’s Left” was featured in an episode of ABC’s “Kevin Probably Saves the World” originally airing on February 6th, 2018. ‘No Alarms’ EP was the 13th most added record on NACC college charts its debut week, and has since peaked at #132 on the NACC 200.

‘Find Me’ is an entrancing smooth indie pop track that swirls and floats elegantly upon No Alarms’ infectious melty melody. It’s a sleek glossy number as their rooted grooves set a fluctuant foundation for the flashing electronics to rebound and playfully ricochet off while velvety vocals coo and caress the tasty melody. SOCIAL STATE ‘Never Gonna Get It’

Birmingham based duo SOCIAL STATE have released their new single ‘Never Gonna Get It’. The two piece comprised of Andy and Brad blend Indie, Hip-Hop, Punk and Emo to establish an unprecedented sonic identity. They are heavily inspired by growing up in the Midlands, not doing well in education and the antics of teenage youth. Their debut ‘Never Gonna Get It’ is a statement piece which talks about the constraints and misrepresentation of the millennial generation. The song is the first release in the cycle, with numerous releases to come within the following months.

‘Never Gonna Get It’ is a catchy spurt of indie punk filled with adrenaline surging vitality. This duo whack out a buoyant rugged pop-smacked number with a meaty texture and hook filled gang-chant chorus that is sure to ignite a live audience. Their rap flows fluidly as the duo spit out the lyrics with attitude and an air of revolt while jaunty guitars playfully rebound off a snappy beat. This track is infectious – that chorus will have to be peeled and prised out of your head. SOCIAL STATE are a fiery duo providing vibrant light numbers with a meaty substance. Aaron Taos ‘Control’

Aaron Taos is a Brooklyn based indie pop artist hailing from Guilford, CT.  In June he released his sophomore EP, ‘Night Thoughts’ and spent the summer on tour opening for King Princess. He has now released his new single ‘Control’ which is the first single off his new project, ‘Birthday Boy’. 

‘Control’ glistens with warm guitar moments as Taos sings over a peppy melody and infectious clap along feature. Filled with sun soaked dreamy tones this track glides and hops along ethereal soundscapes while glorious lamenting guitar weaves a golden thread throughout the track tying it blissfully in your ears with a lasting secure hold.Tightly crafted this track holds a laid back hazy vibe while also packing in that radio friendly charm. It’s honest and entertaining with sublime melodies and a steady beat holding all the delightful component parts together.

Magdalena Bay ‘Ghost’

The LA-based duo Magdalena Bay visit a darker side of synth pop on their latest single ‘Ghost’. The pop duo are 22-year-old Mica Tenenbaum (songwriting, vocals) and 23-year-old Matthew Lewin (songwriting, vocals, production). The lyrics to the new track are inspired by the iconic 80’s film Mr. Vampire, which Mica had just watched in a Chinese film class.Following the success of recent singles Neon and Waking Up, Magdalena Bay have an arsenal of finished music that they plan on unleashing on the world now that they’re settled in LA. Ghost is the second of these to be released, and is sure to show listeners a new side to the band who write and produce all of their music from their home studio.

‘Ghost’ is a silken, lustrous pop number tightly bound in laser precision electronics. This track wriggles and weaves its way through rich, pulsing beats slapping against shimmering synths while the glossy pop melody smooths on top with a dreamy luxurious texture that oozes class and swagger. The dazzling soundscapes flash with eerie dark stomps throughout creating a haunting atmosphere to this luscious pop number.  Magdalena Bay have created a clean, dance-able and infectious number that moves with grace and elegance while a bubbling groove steers the track to something more sinister.

“We wanted to try something new when we started writing Ghost” explains the band. “We had just finished a string of really bubblegum pop songs. Then, this spooky beat came out of nowhere. The song is darker than our previous releases– but it’s still fun and totally dancy. To us, Ghost is what would happen if Britney Spears and MGMT collaborated on a track..”

The Misty ‘The Lovely Dead Girl at Table Six’

London based multi-instrumentalist ‘The Misty’ has released his new single ‘The Lovely Dead Girl at Table Six’.  The track was recorded in his own home, as well as enlisting the help of La Frette Studios in Paris, the same studio chosen by rock band Arctic Monkeys for their latest LP release. Alongside the single release The Misty produced a music video, with the help of China Town Studios, featuring a French model to help put together the visual.

‘The Lovely Dead Girl at Table Six’ is a fluctuating flutter of delight as The Misty croons over a dreamy melody while vaporous guitars whine and sting between ethereal soundscapes. Filled with a rich and intense depth this track grooves and sensually sways with psychedelic hues through a delicate melodic flow. The swirling bubble of electronics set the romantic tone as the brooding vocals and sultry guitar injections add a stirring quality and meaty grit. Perfectly crafted this luscious tantalizing track transports you to a soothing dreamy state that captivates with a 70’s psychedelic rock vibe softened by whirls of jazz flickering through a pop lush melody. Giorgio De Palo ‘Rails’

Italian singer-songwriter Giorgio De Palo has released his debut single ‘Rails’. The song is the last goodbye between two soulmates waiting for a train. With this romantic cliché Giorgio represents his very own anxiety towards love linked to the passage of time. ‘Rails’ is an expression of this insecurity and the loss of control through the metaphor of farewell. Born in Rome, raised internationally and currently based in Berlin, his new single is taken off his upcoming EP ‘First Waves’, which will be released in the first months of 2019.

‘Rails’ is a sweet ditty that floods with passion and tenderness. Warm twinkling guitar embraces the soft melody with a melancholic tone as Giorgio caresses this lamentable scene with his gentle vocals. Manchester synth pop duo Edits have released their new single ‘Cold’. Formed in the legendary crumbling walls of Salford Uni’s Adelphi building, Liv Westhead (Vocals/Synths) and Chris Abbott (Guitars/Programming) provide their D.I.Y. aesthetic; producing everything themselves, including their music videos. Their latest single follows on from January’s ‘Re-Surface’ EP and the accompanying video takes the viewer on a journey through snow-covered mountains.

‘Cold’ is an endearing, breezy synth pop number that chills and swirls with kinetic icy adrenaline.
