Birmingham alternative four-piece Y!KES have released their new single ‘Visceral’ which was produced by singer Joby Fitzgerald and recorded at Magic Garden Studio. Laced in the frenzied sharp guitar lines we have come to know Y!KES for, ‘Visceral’ is another blistering frantic anthem from the four piece. Pulverizing drums, rooted bass grooves and gritty vocals announce this scorching ferocious number as the band build and flesh out their mammoth sound. With a catchy melody, cutting lyricism and grunge filled energy- this brawny whack of alternative rock is perfect for blasting as loud as possible.Sharp flirtations on guitar entwine cheekily between the powerhouse wall of sound, showcasing the bands majestic musicianship and ability to add depth and maturity to their sound. ‘Visceral’ is another frenzied swagger steeped number from Y!KES.

Dublin’s INHALER have released their new double A-side ‘My Honest Face’. Comprising of Robert Keating on bass, Ryan McMahon on drums, Josh Jenkinson on lead and Elijah Hewson on vocals and rhythm, INHALER have already gained support from Radio 1, Radio X and BBC Radio 6 Music as well as earning a coveted placement in the New Music Friday US playlist with 2019’s first offering ‘It Won’t Always Be Like This’ and playlists across the globe.

‘My Honest Face’ is an exhilarating rush of indie rock that puts INHALER on the map. The rugged sound of driving bass lines and punchy drums create the gripping foundation while sweet lamenting shimmers of guitar lift the track to majestic and ethereal heights. It’s a gripping and powerful number as the band flesh out their big and lofty sound with weighty instrumentation and honest lyricism. Filling you with that sudden rush of heart stopping emotion, the band exude swagger through their magnificent guitar work. They weave and pine through the darkened soundscapes which coil and curdle between tension and conflicting bitter sweet tones. There’s beauty in this bands musicianship. They shape the moving lyrics around heart stopping instrumentation. With passionate vocals, this track steamrolls into your head with relentless stamina and oodles of gusto. INHALER are ones to keep an eye on.

INHALER are currently on a UK tour with Stockport’s rising stars Fuzzy Sun, before joining Blossoms & Courteeners on their festival warm up dates this summer. In between these dates, you can catch INHALER at festivals across the UK and Ireland including Neighbourhood Weekender, TRNSMT, Truck Festival and Boardmasters. They have also been added to the bill at Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ show at Dublin’s Malahide Castle.

Our Worth A Listen Track This Week Comes From Fangclub

Fangclub have released their new track ‘Hesitations’. The three-piece who are currently working on their second album present a tasty savage appetizer. With dark soundscapes creeping like a misty fog on a eerie cold night this intense number confirms Fangclubs firm grasp on our ears. It’s catchy and explosive with their trademark anthemic chorus that erupts with crashing guitars, pulverising drums and inflamed bass. The verses simmer as the guitars smoulder and curdle beneath the rumbling bass while the drum relentlessly pounds throughout. Steven King’s vocals haunt and whisper building the intensity before becoming more dynamic for the raging chorus. With the sublime addition of a hypnotic chant by the Rush Youth Choir contrasting the blood curdling wall of sound, Fangclub have beautifully fermented and crafted this track to create their most thrilling and exhilarating material yet. If  ‘Hesitations’ is anything to go by there is exciting things to come from this trio.

Bayonets has released his new single ‘Farewell To Me’. Bayonets is a solo project created by Kerry musician and songwriter Vinnie Flynn. His distinctive style is a mix of alternative rock, indie, blues and folk.In addition to writing and performing live, Flynn also works with several publishing companies based in the US who pitch his compositions to prime time TV shows and movies. Flynn has a string of gigs and festivals in the pipeline for 2019, including Vantastival and some overseas appearances.His singles have received regular radio play on RTE’s 2fm and have even hit airwaves as far as Brooklyn, United States.

Another deeply haunting number ‘Farewell To Me’ creeps and stealthily slinks into your mind with its thrilling inky stain of delight. Devilishly tempting the track lures with a hypnotic guitar refrain that lingers in your mind for days. With an air of chilling mystery wrapped in an opaque shroud of ominous soundscapes this track is sublimely crafted to fill you with enchanting horror. Flynn’s vocals take a Marilyn Mansion quality as he whispers and deeply entices beneath the steady beat and guitar strums as if slowly luring you to your demise with a deceiving sense of security. The verses prowl with a charming intrigue while the chorus entraps you in Flynn’s sound and dark eerie tale. The cinematic aspect of this track will give you goosebumps as ‘Farewell To Me’ takes you to the point of no return.

Skyfever are a rock band from Ireland who are breaking through in a big way, with their music being selected for play in a number of famous sports stadiums. Their infectious rock music has filled the stadiums of Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC, the Tennessee Titans , the world famous New York Yankees and also at the Carolina Panthers 75,000 seater Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The band have now released their new single ‘Kings’ taken off their current ‘Rear View Mirror’ EP.

‘Kings’ is a scorching rock and roll banger.This anthem is locked and loaded with swagger dripping splendor, shredding instrumentation and oodles of sweat and leather attitude. Laced in flamboyant slinky guitar licks this track struts in on a vaporous wave of blistering glory as the punchy drums and elastic bass groove keep those sweltering guitars company with a strut ready foundation. Dynamic raspy vocals exude attitude and vigor while the infectious melody and anthemic ‘punch the air’ chorus keeps the adrenaline at maximum voltage. Skyfever have created one feverous number to revolve around, in your head for days.

Legendary rocker Alice Cooper is a fan of Skyfever and last year he endorsed the band by not only playing their track, The Returning, to listeners of his worldwide-syndicated radio show, Nights with Alice Cooper, but also by personally sharing their track on social media and praising their talent. In fact, radio stations across the USA have recognised Skyfever and they have been played on stations from Philadelphia (WCLH) to Chicago (WZRD) to Nashville, Tennessee (Under the Gun Radio).

About the track the band said : “Kings was written after a lost weekend involving a lot of whiskey, Muhammed Ali documentaries, Game of Thrones and rediscovering early U2 albums. Embracing the war within and who you really are is an important mantra within our band and this song is the anthem for that way of life”

London’s (via Limerick) whenyoung have announced they will be releasing their highly anticipated debut album, ‘Reasons to Dream’, through Virgin EMI on the 24th May. In anticipation of the album release the band have released their new single, ‘Future’ which tells the story of a close friend who sadly took their own life, while also striving to find a message of hope in the darkness.

‘Future’ is sweet fizzy indie rock at its most exhilarating and refreshing. whenyoung present a tender wholesome number bursting to the seams with vibrant delicious instrumentation while tackling a striking and emotional theme. Filled with elegance and ethereal innocence, this driving track soars and chimes with glorious guitar moments sparkling gracefully between a peppy beat and passionate vocals. These guys pay attention to detail – from the short clap clap moments to haunting backing vocals, lush harmonies and refined, dignified guitars this track has everything to charm the hearts and minds of the nation. The melody, coated in Aoife Power’s heavenly vocals is infectious and warm. These guys can write a tune that will have you singing along, dancing in seconds and with a strong meaningful lyrical content they are the band to watch.

The video was directed by award winning short film maker Michael Baldwin and stars young actor Badger Skelton, who featured in Tom Beards critically acclaimed ‘Two for Joy.’ It takes inspiration from Wim Wenders’ New German Cinema classic, ‘Wings of Desire’, showing the trials of suburban youth in stark monochrome.

Four piece Indie rock band The Extons have released their new single ‘No Hope’. Based in Kings Lynn the band is comprised of Adam Garwood ( Lead Guitar), Will barnes (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar)  Peter Catlin (Drums) and Ciaran Liam (bass)


‘No Hope’ is a shimmering blast of indie bliss. With glistening zesty guitars spinning ethereal whirs of delight over the punchy backdrop The Extons capture youthful adrenaline through this dynamic track. Smooth vocals melt over the sweet passionate melody while the snappy drums bounce through the rooted bass groove. It’s a heart gripping energising number that showcases this bands refined spirited musicianship. Warm rapid verses lead effortlessly into a crowd ready sing along chorus filled with explosive vigor and dynamism creating the perfect summer anthemic tune. The Black Keys are back with their new single ‘Lo/Hi’. This bluesy garage rock number continues the duo’s infectious thumping sound in all its glory.
