Event News – Isaac Butler Takeover

Isaac Butler will takeover our Instagram and Facebook for a live stream on Tuesday at 8.00 pm

Isaac Butler‘s debut single ‘Moon Song’ went on to great success being picked up by German TV show “The Bachelorette”, appearing on the show which broadcasts to over 2 million viewers per episode. Since writing his first song at age 12, and going on to record it for a children’s charity CD, his first love has been music, complete with a passion for writing and performing his own original work.Isaac Butler’s previous singles ‘Moon Song’, ‘Rescue Me’ and ‘Young Forever’ have together racked up over 1 million streams on Spotify so far and he has now just released his brand new single ‘Paranoid’.

Butler’s sing along friendly tunes teamed with his velvety vocals and dynamic melodies makes his track stand out within the acoustic setting. He has previously recorded acoustic tracks for us here at Indie Buddie and they have been a delight on the ears. Looking forward to seeing what he brings to our live stream on Tuesday.

Event News – WOB! Livestream

Experience WOB!’s homecoming journey with the livestream of his debut album ‘NOSTOS’, supported by FlutterTone and The Grand Social.

Serbian/Irish producer ‘WOB!’ launches his debut album NOSTOS with a takeover of FlutterTone’s Monday Club sessions, where he will livestream it with the support of iconic Dublin venue The Grand Social.

The livestream starts on The Grand Social and FlutterTone’s Facebook pages at 7 pm, 11th May. The audience will be asked to make a donation to Inner City Helping Homeless in lieu of the ticket and drinks prices they would normally pay for a live gig.

Support acts for WOB! On the night will be Eoin Martin, Paj and Gins, three exceptional independent talents that collaborated on the album, along with poet Sarah O’Connor, visual artist Hazel Coonagh.

Event News – Jack West Takeover

Influenced by rock and roll from a young age, New York alternative rock n’ roll artist Jack West taps into Nirvana, Neil Young and The Doors whilst he pays his own homage to rock and roll. He might be only 15 but he has amassed over 10,000 streams on his debut single, and joined Eddie Vedder on stage to perform to 30,000 in Nashville. Jack West is set to go far he recently released his new EP ‘Jack West – Live at Easy Street Records’.Recorded live and mixed by renowned producer Barrett Jones, the EP includes polished covers of ‘Sick Love’ by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and ‘Like a Stone’ by Audioslave as a tribute to the late Chris Cornell. The EP also includes his latest single ‘Bring the Records Back’ and perfectly captures the raw energy of Jack’s live performance. Judging from the EP this live takeover is going to be great.

EVENT NEWS – ASYLUMS TAKEOVER

Asylums are set to take over our Instagram and Facebook this Sunday 5th April at 8pm for a live stream.

Frontman of Southend’s finest Asylums, Luke Branch will play songs from the albums ‘Killer Brain Waves’ (2016) Alien Human Emotions (2018) and the forthcoming third album due this Summer.

It’s been a huge 18 months for Asylums.  As recent recipients of the prestigious and hard-to-score PRS Momentum Fund, their next leap forward seems gilded, greased, and good-to-go. Current single ‘Catalogue Kids’ finding a warm home at BBC 6 Music, Radio X and Kerrang! Radio, as well as playlist adds at Deezer and Spotify and nods from The Independent, Kerrang! and Louder Sound has only increased expectation and excitement for album number 3.

These guys have a blistering fuzz filled sound brimming with attitude and gusto and whether its acoustic or not their songs carry themselves with power and timeless charm. I for one can’t wait to see Luke whack out these bangers.

Event News : Greywind Takeover

Killarney alternative rock duo Greywind are set to take over our Instagram and Facebook this Wednesday April 1st at 8pm for a live performance .

In their first 40 shows as a band Greywind have already achieved playing some of the biggest festivals in the world, including Reading and Leeds Festival, Isle of Wight Festival, Download Festival, Rock Am Ring and have supported the likes of You Me At Six, Palaye Royale, Thrice and in December 2019 played a sold out arena show with The Coronas. They have been heavily backed by BBC Radio 1, Zane Lowe and MTV.

The brother and sister duo, Steph and Paul O’Sullivan’s debut album ‘Afterthoughts’ was recorded in Texas with Grammy-Winning producer Jason Perry and has achieved huge critical acclaim from the likes Zane Lowe, Kerrang!, Rocksound, MTV. The album was released through Universal Music and charted in the Top 10 of the Official UK Rock Chart.

These guys are known to put on one heck of a show and we are pleased to have them infiltrate our socials for a live takeover not to be missed.

Freak Control are a fresh Dublin based dance rock duo consisting of Paulus Maximus on Bass VI / Vocals / Synth Pedals & Dietrich Blitzer on Drums.Influenced by the likes of The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, 70’s Funk & 60’s Psychedelia, Freak Control have their own original style and flavour which they add to the mix as only they can do. 

This band has a raw, gritty sound that invades your brain and runs rampant like a crazed maniac until you succumb to the frenzy. Robust and whiplash-inducing – their acid soaked sound is pretty infectious and not for the faint-hearted but is sure to guarantee one heck of a live show.

Alexis Kings are a three piece comprising of Brendan Aherne (Vocals), Sam Privett (Lead Guitar) and Fabio Bocca (Drums). The band have previously received support from Radio X’s John Kennedy and Huw Stevens on Radio 1, and have performed on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and BBC London’s Gaby Roslin show. Alexis Kings debut single ‘Squire’ reached the Top 10 in several Spotify streaming charts and playlists, garnering attention from the heart of Australia’s top radio networks to the Los Angeles music scene. The band have surpassed a million streams on Spotify, with listeners in 77 countries, while their excellent videos for ‘Velvet’ and ‘Addict’ are racking up the numbers on YouTube.

These guys have some tasty tunes, slick guitar melodies and a charismatic stage presence that is sure to have you up dancing. Live these guys add a dash of punch and gritty peppering to their sun kissed infectious tunes. A show not to be missed.

What Is Tilt :

‘TiLT’ is a free showcase event that takes place once a month in The Button Factory in Temple Bar, Dublin 2. The series aims to highlight some of the best musicians in the local music scene and offer music fans a chance to discover new acts and new music. Every month, 4 acts are invited to perform at TiLT in The Button Factory. Each of the acts receive pre-production a week before the event; a professional video of one of their songs from their performance on the night; a day’s recording in Sun Studios, Temple Bar; a live interview on Totally Irish on 98fm; and, of course, the opportunity to play at The Button Factory.

Why We Like The Line Up

CC Brez aka Cormac Breslin from Republic of Loose is a soul funk extravaganza. Having recently released his new EP ‘This Funk Is 4 You’ CC Brez is locked and loaded with some slick funk flexed tunes ready to ignite The Button Factory. His tracks are swanky chic and bursting from the seams with energy and vitality and boy can he deliver some shredding guitar moments. It’s a set not to be missed if you want to dance with as much careless fun as Prince’s 1999.

Abbacaxi is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Dublin. His effortlessly cool sound sweeps with rich soul and jazz elements to create something truly mesmerising . With sun sprinkled bliss weaved wonderfully through tight production, rich rhythms, sublime vocals and lush, dance-able grooves this is a set not to be missed.

Bajjna are a Reggae band based in Dublin. These guys will bring the warm infectiousness of their sun soaked sound to The Button Factory and will definitely heat up the chilly December night. With tunes laced in vibrant hazy flavours and velvety tones their energetic and melodic live set is going to create a wonderful atmosphere for the night.

Stomptown Brass has emerged as one of the most unique acts in Ireland in recent times. The band have an impressive line up of two Drummers, two Trombones, two Trumpets, one Saxophone and a Tuba, that alone is going to make for one massive live sound. They blend funk and blues to create an infectious energetic sound that is almost impossible to resist. With their brass blasts and charming vocals it’s sure to be one powerful steamy set to remember.

Once again ‘TiLT present another night of vibrant talented artists sure to have the crowd dancing and bopping. Each band and artist bring fun radiant funky and groovy tunes that is going to illuminate The Button Factory on Tuesday December 10th. Make sure to head down and check it out. 

Admission to TiLT in The Button Factory every month is free. Entry is for over 18s only. Doors are at 7.30pm and the first act will be on stage at 8pm.

‘TiLT’ – (Totally Irish Live Tuesdays)

The first ‘TiLT’ takes place on Tuesday Oct 29th featuring Munky, Bullet Girl, Synk and TOYGIRL. Admission is free and doors are at 7.30pm.

What is ‘TiLT’? 
Every month 4 acts are invited to perform at the event which takes place in The Button Factory. Each act gets a day of pre-production before the event takes place / a professional video of one of their songs from their performance on the night / a day’s recording in Sun Studios, Temple Bar / a chance to be featured on Totally Irish on 98fm / and, of course, the opportunity to play at The Button Factory.

With Munky, Bullet Girl, Synk and TOYGIRL performing this is going to be one hell of a show.

Alternative band Bullet Girl are one exciting band to check out. Not only were they featured on one of our Indie Buddie Introducing articles their groove laced sound and invigorating tunes are sure to ignite the wiggle worms within you.

Disco grunge band Munky have been regular offenders on Indie Buddie and we just can’t get enough of their shows, They are fun, insane and their tunes utterly outstanding.

Event News : Vernon Jane at The Button Factory


Vernon Jane are set to bring their explosive live show to The Button Factory on Wednesday the 12th of December with support from Junior Brother, and special guest TBA.

The new single ‘Push Me’ displays Vernon Jane at their most visceral. The final single from their 2018 EP ‘The Dark Place’, ‘Push Me’ is an emotionally dense exploration of acceptance beyond betrayal, featuring a constant push and pull of tension and release to mirror that theme.

Vernon Jane once again join forces with video producer DOCK for a striking and visually rich accompanying music video.

The show will see Vernon Jane incorporating striking visual elements, working with ‘Imagery By Ro’ to express the emotions explored throughout the set.
This will be Vernon Jane’s most immersive and intense performance since their inception.

This band know how to put on a mind melting show so make sure to check it out.
