About the track Lord Baltimore said: “Camille is a song about Camille Claudel, muse to famous French sculptor Auguste Rodin. She was the victim of a pervasive anti-woman sentiment in the arts that hasn’t yet totally faded.  This song was our bid to tell the tale of her life, work and tragedy. We chose to further venerate her legacy with a music video that involves breaking into an abandoned warehouse, staging a ballet, shaving the lead actress’ head and smashing a chandelier with a plank of wood. You know, normal stuff.”

Master of None ‘You Will Get What You Deserve’ EP

Little Red’s Ian Mitchell (AKA Master of None) has released ‘You Will Get What You Deserve’ EP by All Will Be Well Records. The EP features three brand-new tracks that tell stories of murder and vengeance.

‘You Will Get What You Deserve’ EP saturates and gushes with Master of None’s dark eerie sound and coiling musicianship. Title track ‘You Will Get What You Deserve’ introduces distortion, sharp guitar and a steady beat, kicking off the EP with chilling tones and a slick rock hued backing. The reverb laden vocals is what brings this track to goosebump inducing status. The instrumental backdrop meanders from gritty guitar to an electronic fused spasm as the track develops. ‘Call Me Jack’ follows suit with slick, jagged guitars with a country undertone that is suffocated by the razor sharp rock background while Mitchell’s vocal melody has a Johnny Cash – esque quality to it. This twisted, beguiling blending of genres is what makes this track so mesmerising. ‘Hunt You Down’ brings us to the end of the EP. More dark, ominous and heavier than the other tracks this catchy number lacerates with acute sultry guitars while the electronics pulse and slap between the haunting sinister vocals as Master of None creates a chilling western- esque brawny track with flashing soundscapes and an utterly creepy atmosphere.

Master of None has developed and crafted his unique sound to create something perilous within ‘You Will Get What You Deserve’ while stewing each track in sultry dark instrumentation and sublime genre blending.

STK Sound ‘Reincarnation’ Album

Electro Pop artist STK Sound has released his debut album ‘Reincarnation’. The creative mind of STK Sound ties together the world of audio with visual representation, and this debut record is the perfect example of how he manages to shape perceptions through his art.

‘Reincarnation’ is an ambient collection of tracks that submerge you completely into the luxurious electronic fusions of STK Sound. Its a mellowed out experience as ‘Intro’ , ‘Awakening’ ‘Only One’ and ‘Death And Reincarnation’ begin the dreamy journey into STK Sound’s world of tranquil magic. The electronic elements are subtle and sweet as they flurry, wisp and twinkle between the sticky fluctuant beats. With warm vocals cooing over this floaty soundscape STK Sound transforms the listening experience with cosy textures. He blends some darker tones into his album with eerie subtly haunting atmospheres through tracks like ‘ Darkness Of The Magic’ without shocking the listener out of their dreamy haze. As the glistening soundscapes dazzle and delicately sparkle the track builds behind creating an ominous atmosphere with deep vocal samples and conflicted electronics, this provides a beautiful contrast through STK Sound’s creations. The raw and at times jittery percussion adds a rich and vibrant texture to the more melancholic tracks like ‘Do You Feel My Love’, the dazzling ‘Never Stop’ and skittish ‘Mirrors’. While ‘Atlas Love’ and ‘Life’ cool the sticky sultry vibes of those tracks with gentle ethereal tones, piano elements, and wispy soundscapes. However these tracks maintain a mystical and almost eerie atmosphere with some fuzzed elements and deep beat thuds. ‘Dark Sun’ brings the album to a close with a surge of peaceful vibes and glorious textures and tones. The sweet electronics flicker between quivering soundscapes and whispered vocals before becoming a little more obscure as gloopy sounds blop through the dreamy electronic whines. It’s a unique and intriguing track to close the album.

STK Sound takes the listener on a mystical journey of rich multi texture sounds through his refined ‘Reincarnation’ album as his blend of relaxing tunes and frazzling electronics both soothe and invigorate the mind.

A blood-tingling riff weaves elastic grooves through a punchy drum beat while scorching guitars demolish your eardrums with their intricate and slinky manner. The frantic soundscape is pierced by shrilling guitar whines and jagged electronics as the band layer the track in quirky sounds and vocal injections. This electrifying track showcases the refined kinetic and dominant sound of Sleater-Kinney- it is simply mesmerising.

On the new music, the band comments; “I think for Carrie and Corin it was liberating to explore a different sound palette,” says Weiss.  Brownstein adds, “Instead of just going into the studio to document what we’d done, we were going in to explore and to find the essence of something.  To dig in deeper.” Tucker says working on the new music “was like this manic energy of empowerment.”
