Jack Joyce ‘Black Cat by the Bins’

Jack Joyce has released his new single ‘Black Cat by the Bins’. The track follows on from Joyce’s sixth single release and current hit single ‘Voodoo Belladonna’ which was released back on 16th July 2021. Early last year (2020) Joyce featured on Mute The TV band’s hit debut single ‘With You’ which got airplay around Ireland. 

‘Black Cat by the Bins’ is a mysterious tune that pivots around sultry shivering guitars and chunky rhythms. The lyrics are a dazzling display of Joyce’s artistic talent: clever, poignant and packed with emotion, “let me know if I grow slow, I feel it turning baby something has changed…  I saw a black cat by the bins, and I haven’t been the same since”. Joyce injects a sense of unease into the track’s enticing soundscape through the use of sharp riffs and supple lofty pines creating a sinister undertone throughout the song. The complex blend of elements within the song are a joy to listen to and can only be truly appreciated with repeat plays. Joyce has put a lot into his latest release – the track is an expressive, bewitching number filled with character and rich instrumentation.

Jack Joyce has released his new single ‘Voodoo Belladonna’. Joyce continues his brooding darker sound with ‘Voodoo Belladonna’ as he blends sombre tones with energetic indie superbly to create a track that is a simmering delight on the senses. Boasting the artist’s agile lyrical ability and refined instrumentation, the song showcases the singer-songwriter’s maturing sound. Joyce opens the track with an intriguing contemplation, “does your tongue go numb as you swallow the sun” while thudding rhythms and chiming guitars adorn the backdrop. Jack Joyce ‘At The End of The Day’

Dublin based multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Jack Joyce has released his new single ‘At The End of The Day’.Joyce has been composing his own songs from a young age and released his debut demo EP, Get Down, in October 2018. Joyce spent the beginning of the summer of 2019 busking and backpacking around Europe, seeking new inspirations and sounds for further music releases. Following his return, he sold out The Vintage Room in the Workman’s Club. He followed this by opening for Cassia upstairs in Whelan’s and playing a slot at the New Year’s Festival in Dublin.

‘At The End of The Day’ sees Jack Joyce flexing his songwriting and musical muscles with a confidence that sets him apart from his peers. This brooding, eerie number shifts from the buoyant indie rock of previous releases and slips into a sound that exudes a dark undertone we haven’t seen before from Joyce as a songwriter. Draped in a quirky organ refrain, the tune shrouds itself in a muggy atmosphere with only the buoyant drum beat and perky guitar to lift the tone. Joyce creates a sense of longing through lush “la la la“ backing vocals and steamy guitar pines while his ruggedly deep croon wallows in shadowy glum lyrics “we’re just bones at the end of the day”. Filled with eloquent, poetic lyrics and well-paced instrumentation, Jack Joyce is creating a name for himself as a singer-songwriter to keep an eye on.

Irish singer-songwriter Jack Joyce has released his new single ‘Tai Chi’. Joyce first embarked on his music career at sixteen when he began performing and booking gigs in local pubs and clubs. Following his return, he sold out The Vintage Room in the Workman’s Club and the Whale Theatre. Encased in bright indie and filled with glimmers of alternative rock and sun-kissed tones, ‘Tai Chi’ is a clean, catchy and witty new single from Jack Joyce. The song flows effortlessly on a dynamic beat and rich percussive bounce, creating an upbeat and sturdy backdrop. Joyce paces the track well, adding a sharp sting on guitar to illuminate the song and add a desert tone.
