Kevin Casey ‘The Whole World Is Watching’

Dubliner Kevin Casey has released his new single ‘The Whole World Is Watching’. A long-standing regular in the Irish music scene, Kevin Casey has released several singles, two EPs, and a full-length album since 2014. He has done two European tours and gigged extensively across the country and Germany, the U.K, and the USA, including two consecutive years at Electric Picnic.‘The Whole World Is Watching’ was inspired by the tragic events that led to the Death of George Floyd on May 25th, 2020.

Filled with striking lyrical content, ‘The Whole World Is Watching’ is a passionate and powerful tune from Kevin Casey. With haunting harmonica pines which open up to chilling audio samples, the song hits hard right from the start as the track drifts atop a heartfelt power ballad-esque backdrop filled with lamenting guitars and sparse country elements. Casey’s rasped vocals exude emotion as he questions how our protectors can be those who harm us “A sentence without a crime is how it seems to me…“. With an off-beat drum sample reminiscent of a fading heartbeat and chants panning out the song, Casey presents his most compelling and moving tune yet.

Dublin-based singer/songwriter Kevin Casey is set to release his new single ‘Shout it Out’ on February 26th. A long-standing regular in the Irish music scene, Kevin Casey has released several singles, two EPs, and a full-length album since 2014. ‘Shout it Out’ is a 90’s brit-pop stomp oozing raw rock energy and Kevin Casey’s infectious and powerful musicianship. Lacing slick riffs in scorching attitude Casey continues to flesh out his mighty expressive sound. The upbeat swagger and sing-along chorus is saturated in the irresistible charm Casey is becoming known for. The song surges with positive vibes and uplifting tones, reinforcing the message of the lyrics that support those treated differently by society because of skin colour, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs. In this exhilarating anthem, Casey urges it’s ok to be different, and it’s also ok to be proud of being different “stand up, stand proud, come on and shout it out “. He is known for his raw vocals, versatile songwriting, and for keeping Irish rock and roll alive and well. The Kevin Casey band is: Paul Casey (Guitar, Piano), Neil Casey (Bass) and Ger Gallagher (Drums). “Sing My Soul To Sleep” was mixed by Gavin McCormick and mastered by Billy Farrell. 

‘Sing My Soul To Sleep’ is a jaunty indie rock track boasting a chugging rhythmic bounce, sharp guitars and the dynamic songwriting of Kevin Casey. The brisk pace of the song exudes adrenaline-inducing energy while the foot tapping drums and percussion ensure the track won’t leave your head easily. This song is a full bodied vibrant track, a jazz infused piano adds retro charm while the sprightly guitars provide a raw edge and indie rock bravado. Kevin Casey ‘It’s Alright’

Dublin- based singer/songwriter Kevin Casey has released his new single ‘It’s Alright’.Long standing regular in the Irish music scene, Kevin Casey has released several singles, two EPs, and a full length album since 2014. He has done two European tours and gigged extensively across the country as well as in Germany, the U.K and the USA, including two consecutive years at Electric Picnic. He is known for his raw vocals, versatile songwriting, and for keeping Irish rock and roll alive and well. 

‘It’s Alright’ is a steady rock anthem. Kevin Casey slowly seeps emotion into the track as he creates space within for the instrumentation and tones to flourish and blossom. It’s a guitar driven song that chugs into motion with raw guitar melodies, and a foot tapping beat. The rhythmic pulse is the heartbeat of the track as the bass and drums simmer though the verses before pounding into the chorus. With soaring string flurries and lush orchestral samples the song builds becoming more grand yet maintains the relaxed pacing throughout. The rasped vocals and lush vocal harmonies teamed with zesty guitar wails and richly layered production create tension and brief gasps of relief throughout the song making it an enjoyable number to listen to. There are elements of Oasis with tones of The Beatles and even some Bryan Adams peppering which makes the song quite easy on the ears. Casey took the best part of these artists and blended them with his own style to create a moving power anthem for the crazy times we live in now. With an 80’s rock hue, scorching guitar solo and dynamic wall of sound ‘It’s Alright’ is quite the impressive mature number.
